A genuine journey can help others understand preparation, but publication is optional. Contact us if you would like to discuss sharing your experience; do not send sensitive documents for publication.
Agree the content
Any proposed story should clearly distinguish the support provided from the government’s decision. Review the text, the use of your name and any image before giving permission.
Protect details that do not belong online
Passport numbers, application references, addresses and financial information are not useful public storytelling details. Other people mentioned in a story have their own privacy interests.
Change your mind
Tell us if you want a published story reviewed or removed from our own website. We cannot guarantee removal of copies already saved by third parties. The main journey examples on this site are explicitly fictional planning scenarios.
